Your Restaurant Review Posted: 10-2-2009 The Chicken Palace - Waukegan, IL This restaurant just opened. Think KFC, Browns or Popeyes done Mexican style. We had the family pack which consists of 8 pieces of chicken and 3 sides. You can order chicken either fried, BBQed, or grilled. We opted for the grilled, which was very good. Not dried out like the grilled chicken at many restaurants. Our side dish choices were grilled green onions, (ya don't see that choice at KFC) fries and beans. The beans were wonderful. Maybe they're too spicy for some people, but they had all sorts of neat stuff added that really brought out the taste. My only complaint was the fries... Very small portion for a family pack. There is a salsa bar were you can try no less than 9 different salsas. I tried them all. Some are spicy, some are not. Procede with caution. "Submitted By Resident"
