Pho House - Libertyville, IL

Lake County now has it's first Vietnamese restaurant. It's not all Vietnamese, there's lots of Chinese and Thai, but try the Vietnamese instead. Pho is a kind of soup with different stuff throw in. There are 16 different Phos. The bowl is huge. In fact all the portions at The Pho House are big.

We started out with the Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Crepe) appetizer. It's filled with shrimp, pork, bean sprouts, & lettuce and it comes with a nice sweet and sour fish sauce. It's almost a meal in it's self. Two of us split it and it was still plenty to eat. Then we had a bowl of Pho and the Rice Vermicelli Noodles. (Beef, pork, chicken, or shrimp served with chopped lettuce, mint leaves, carrot, cucumber, and chopped nut special fish sauce) All good stuff. Don't be chicken. Try the place. It's behind Baker's Square on Milwaukee Ave.
